Can you tell me the version of Java?

I wonder what version of Java shipped with Leopard? Can you please open terminal in Leopard 10.5 and type the following:

java -version

And report back.

Thanks!

Re: Can you tell me the version of Java?

That's weird. I got a notification of a comment from cdtpiper that contained a different list to that of practicalfool (one contained Java 1.6, the other didn't), but the comment isn't showing up here.

Are you both running the same Leopard? Did one of you install 1.6 manually?

Re: Can you tell me the version of Java?

Just installed from shiny new disc that arrived in the mail, and no Java6 by default.

Guess the person that had it listed installed the Leopard beta version of Java6.

:(

Re: Can you tell me the version of Java?

And I'm just realizing that they ALSO took down the Leopard beta of Java6 from ADC and did NOT include it even with the Dev Tools???

Thanks for the spit in the face, Apple.
